Heather Richter Lipford, Ph.D.
Dr. Heather Richter Lipford is an Associate Professor at UNCC. She completed her Ph.D. in May 2005 from the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, usable privacy and security, social computing, and visual analytics. She is co-directing the HCI Lab and is a member of the UNCC Cyber Defense and Network Assurability Center, the Charlotte Visualization Center and the UNCC Cognitive Science Academy. Announcements Jing Xie's paper "Why Do Programmers Make Security Errors?" is highlighted on IEEE Conference News and will be presented at VL/HCC in September. "A New Social Order: Boundary Regulation within Online Social Networks" by Pam Wisniewski, Heather Lipford, and David Wilson was presented at the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) in August.
