Heather Richter Lipford, Ph.D.
Dr. Heather Richter Lipford is an Associate Professor at UNCC. She completed her Ph.D. in May 2005 from the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, usable privacy and security, social computing, and visual analytics. She is co-directing the HCI Lab and is a member of the UNCC Cyber Defense and Network Assurability Center, the Charlotte Visualization Center and the UNCC Cognitive Science Academy. Announcements My first Ph.D. student to graduate, Pam Wisniewski, will be joining U. South Alabama as an Assistant Professor in the fall! Our CSCW workshop on Reconciling Privacy with Social Media was a success. Check out the excellent position papers and a summary of our discussions. Two HCILab CHI Papers! Pam Wisniewski's paper on Fighting for My Space: Coping Mechanisms for SNS Boundary Regulation, and Jing Xie's paper on Evaluating Interactive Support for Secure Programming will be presented in May.
